Make Your Own Mass Gainer

First and foremost I don't suggest many supplements for my athletes, the only 2 supplements I suggest are:

  1. 100% Whey Protein

  2. Creatine

So my opinion mass gainers are a waste of money. First, most mass gainers are not healthy at all. They are pretty much a little bit of protein powder filled with a ton of sugar. In fact they have so much filler sugar that most mass gainers failed lab test for protein. Meaning they have less protein than what is written on the package…which is DISTURBING. All that is, is just taking protein powder and combining it with very cheap sources of carbs, usually sugar.

Now there are some mass gainers out there that are good but they’re super expensive and you don’t get that many serving sizes in the bag. So I tell my athletes if you want the best bang for your buck then you should take regular protein powder and make your own mass gainer. Ingredients like: banana, oats, milk and etc….

You can create a way better mass gainer with ingredients that come from real foods.

HackSawFit Shake:

  • 2/3 Cup of Greek Yogurt

  • 1 Banana

  • 4 Whole Strawberries or (1 cup frozen strawberries)

  • 1/2 Cup of Rolled Oats

  • 2 Tablespoon of Almond Butter or (Organic Peanut Butter)

  • 1 & 1/2 Cup of Water

Macronutrients

Calories: 550 Fat: 18g Carbs: 73g Protein: 30g

You can add protein powder to this to add more calories and more protein, which probably add up to 50g of protein or you can also add milk to it to add more calories.

It’s cheaper and you’re getting your protein and carbs from whole foods.

I hope you liked it, I hope you use it, Check ya’ll next time.
